Why do air bubbles appear in my plastic sheets after heating?

Certain plastics are hydroscopic meaning they absorb moisture. When heat is applied to the sheet this moisture causes air pockets to form. To solve this problem dry the sheets using a drying oven and ensure they are stored properly. Preferably in a climate controlled environment with very low humidity.
